What happens when you order embroidered workwear from HTG

Published

If you are looking for embroidery in Wollongong, it helps to know what the process involves before you call. We embroider in-house at our Unanderra workshop, so the steps below all happen under one roof. This is the sequence for a typical order of workwear, polos or caps.

1. Enquire

Call 02 4228 3508 or send the details through the contact form. Tell us what garments you need, roughly how many, and whether you have a logo ready. We can work with small and large orders, from a single polo to a full site uniform rollout, and we confirm pricing and any minimums for your garment when you enquire.

2. Choose the garments

We can supply the garments and brand them in one order, or decorate garments you already own. If you ask about a particular item, we will tell you whether it will take embroidery well. For hi-vis and workwear, see our workwear and hi-vis ranges, and for the labels we carry see our brands.

3. Send your logo

A vector file such as PDF, Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or SVG is best. If all you have is a low-resolution image, our design team can prepare it for stitching. How to prepare your logo for embroidery and printing covers colours, fine detail and sizes on garments.

Not sure whether stitching is the right method? Our guide to DTF printing or embroidery helps you decide, or we can recommend one when you send the logo.

4. Approve the proof

Before we embroider anything, we send a proof, and you approve it. Nothing is made until you do. This is the point to check the logo position, the colours and the spelling of any names.

5. We embroider in-house

Once the proof is approved, we stitch the order on our own machines. Because the work is in-house, we can talk to you directly if something needs adjusting.

6. Pickup or delivery

Most orders are completed within 10 business days. If you have a tight deadline, call us and we will do our best to make it work.

You can collect your order from the workshop at Unit 31/10 Sylvester Avenue, Unanderra. We are open Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4pm and Friday 8:30am to 2pm, and closed on weekends. Call ahead and we will have it ready. We also supply businesses across Australia, so tell us where the order is going and we will confirm delivery options.

Ordering for a whole team

If you are kitting out a crew, a uniform program saves time on every later order. A size list with each person's fit, the same logo position on every garment and a few spares for new starters are the three habits that matter most.
